Well, look no further because the people at Suidobashi Heavy Industry have created a real-life battle mech called the Kuratas Mecha robot...
Unveiled at Wonder Fest 2012 in Tokyo, the mech features a ride-in cockpit, “rocket” launchers, and a “smile controlled” BB Gatling gun. It reportedly travels at a top speed of 10 kmph and is not currently deemed road-worthy by Japan's road and safety authority, however if you are interested in purchasing this one-off engineering marvel, you will need to shell out 105,790,236 JPY (just under 1.3 million AUD or 1,353,500 US dollars) for a basic model and visit this website for more information (the website also includes a fun "build your order" feature when ordering your mecha which is fun to play with).
