I'm going to hell for this one...
A couple of nights later, I was drinking at a friend's place and we decided to go to the combini to refuel. The combini happened to be right in between the school I work at and the train station. Guess what I run into...
Later on, I'm jogging late at night...
Students:
Me:
I hope I am conveying how weird these little run-ins are for me. Why are there just random students of mine walking around my neighbourhood in the middle of the night? I live next door to the school I teach at so clearly they are either in transit towards or away from school. I get that. But why are they still at school at 11pm at night? There is no way my parents would let me out that late on a school night when I was in high school!
Some times I find myself wondering what is really going on inside the seemingly innocent minds of my students. Then I consider the items in my immediate vicinity for their effectiveness as weapons in a zombie apocalypse situation. Like, what would happen if my students just suddenly turned... Oh, what it must be like to venture inside the psyche of a 17-year-old Japanese high school student...
I'm probably going to hell right now because I just implied my students are zombie-like and put it on the Internet. Honestly though, I LOVE my students. They are amazing. But they are also everywhere and at night time, that can be just plain scary...
hahaha this is pretty funny! Same thing here, I sometimes do spot students (not mine) lurking till night STILL in their uniforms! Like what are they doing out so late and don't they wanna change out of their icky attire? Back home, nobody wants to hang out and be seen in uniforms!
ReplyDeleteHaha! I just wonder if their mothers know where they are!
